One of women’s softball most outstanding third baseman, Mickey Sullivan was a charter member of the nationally famed Phoenix PBSW Ramblers. Her faultless play at third base and her timely hitting helped the Ramblers capture 14 state and regional championships leading to participation in as many national tournaments. Mickey had outstanding leadership qualities and managed the Ramblers during 1941-42 while the regular manager was in the service. Later she served as a team coach, helping others to develop softball skills.
