Marilyn was considered the best catcher to ever come out of Arizona fast pitch softball. She played from 1960 to 1986 amassing many awards and accomplishments. She played for the 1979 National ASA Champion Sun City Saints Team. Was an All-American in 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1984. Was voted the Arizona Softball Foundation Player of the Year in 1986, 1979 and 1980. She was inducted into the Arizona State University Hall of Fame in 1991 and inducted into the ASA National Hall of Fame in 1991. She played on the United States Pan-American Team of 1979 and represented the United States in tournaments around the world.
