An incredible fielding average of .967 over a 25-year career in major league softball proves she was one of the finest infielders as well as one of the best hitters in Arizona softball history. With most of her career spent with national championship contenders, she was selected to the All-America team five times based on her accomplishments in national championship tournaments, and her honors include election into the Women’s Softball Hall of Fame by the Amateur Softball Association of the Americas. She began her major league career at age 13 in Alameda, California, and fashioned a lifetime batting average of .207 while performing in the nation’s fastest competition with the A-1 Queens and PBSW Ramblers of Phoenix, New Orleans Jax Brewers, Orange, Calif., Lionettes, Los Angeles Top Hats and professional with the Parichy Bloomer Girls of Chicago.
