A member of the All-time All-American Women’s Softball Team selected in 1948, she was a great performer for the PBSW Ramblers of Phoenix. A three-time national champion and perennial power. Her versatile skills permitted brilliant play at center field, shortstop and first base, and her batting prowess won her the Pacific Coast League Championship. Her lifetime batting average was .325. After seven years as a center fielder and two as a shortstop, a knee injury forced a move to first base where she demonstrated additional greatness, winning all-region and All- American honors during the final five years of her career, which included 14 state, regional and national tournaments and selection to the all-time Rambler team.
