Five times an All-American, considered the greatest second baseman in women’s softball during the 1940’s and 1950,’ she joined the Phoenix A-1 Queens after a lengthy, star-studded career in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. She was judged Most Valuable Player in the 1948 national tournament in Phoenix. A member of the Queens’ All-time Team, she was a key factor in the Queens’ winning three of their five national championships. Her strong hitting and flawless fielding played starring roles in 17 national tournaments, including national championships for the Tulsa Midgets in 1942-43.
