Cotton was a utility player and a catcher for over 25 years. She played for the Hunting Park Blues and for the Orange Lionettes for three years before coming to Phoenix to play for the Phoenix Ramblers and then the Sun City Saints.
As a Lionette she became an All American. Cotton was selected as a Pacific Coast Women's Softball league All Star many times and played in several ASA National Championships. Cotton is inducted as a Legend's Player
