Helen was a very talented softball player. She could play shortstop or third base. She played from 1969 to 1990. Was voted to the All-American Team in 1982 and 1983. Played for the famous Sun City Saints where she won the Erv Lind Award for outstanding defense at the 1982 ASA National Tournament. Was a member of the 1982 Gold Medal team at the Olympic Sports Festival. Helen was voted to the 1981 NJCAA All-American Team for Glendale Community College
