One of the greatest all-around women’s softball players the game has ever known, she achieved All-America honors both as a catcher and shortstop during a brilliant career capped by helping the Phoenix A-1 Queens to the 1948 national championship. She later played with the Phoenix Westerners, Mesa Premiums, Funk Gems and PBSW Ramblers, 1954-62, helping the Ramblers to three runner-up spots in national tournaments. She also competed in the professional All- America League and Chicago Professional League and in 1961 appeared in the American Softball Association All-star Game in Stratford, Connecticut.
