An accomplished softball player, Louise Curtis was equally at home as a first baseman, second baseman or outfielder as well as being one of the greatest pitchers the game has ever known. Louise was the original pitcher for the Phoenix PBSW Ramblers and led the team to national prominence winning 14 state and regional championships during the years 1933 to 1951, which resulted in competition in 14 national tournaments. A tireless competitor, she pitched four national tournament games in one day in 1937.
