An outstanding fielder, she starred at three infield positions during a 22-year career which included eight national tournaments. She earned All-America second team honors at third base while playing for the famed Phoenix PBSW Ramblers in 1957. Following a seven- year stint with the Poston Tillage Sweethearts of Glendale, where she earned all-state honors five times as a shortstop, she joined the legendary Phoenix A-1 Queens and starred as their second baseman in 1956. With the Ramblers (1957-60), she helped lead the team to the runner-up spot nationally in 1957 and was voted most colorful and popular player in the regional tournament. Blessed with a strong, accurate arm., good speed and hitting prowess, she ended a five-year retirement to join the Sun City Saints in 1966. During three seasons with the Saints, she twice was chosen on the Pacific Coast Women’s Softball League all-star team, in 1967 and ‘68.
