Archie Wilson

Arizona’s premier pitcher when the sport of major league softball was introduced to the state in 1932 and 1933, he blazed a trail of greatness during a 15-year career which found him an annual participant in state and regional tournaments. He began pitching major league softball in 1932 as a 15-year-old and his pitching prowess and batting ability earned him outstanding pitcher and most valuable player awards in 1932 and 1933 when he led his team to the state championship each year. He pitched both for and against Arizona major league teams during his career.
