Doug was selected in the Veterans category. An infielder, Doug played for over 20 years, attended 3 ISC World Tournaments, was selected All-State Infielder in 1997, All-Tournament Infielder in Las Vegas 1997 and in Colorado Springs in 1977. He attended Colorado Springs Pike’s Peak Tournament Championship 1976 & 1977.

In the 1970s he played for Hays Roofing and the Turquoise Kings. Doug started his career in baseball playing for Glendale Community College on their NJCAA Championship Baseball Team as an All American shortstop in 1968
