Ted Olea

Skilled at all softball positions except pitcher, he earned All-America honors at shortstop in the 1953 World Tournament in Salt Lake City while playing for the runner-up A-1 Construction team, Arizona state champion. He played on more championship teams than almost any athlete in Arizona in a career that began on the major softball level in 1937 and included service with the Farm Fresh Markets Team which won the first National Softball Congress World Tournament in 1947. He made almost annual appearances in world tournaments throughout the United States as a member of various Arizona championship teams.
