Jim played for seventeen years with several nationally known teams. He played in ten national tournaments and was a member of the 1980 Runner- up National ISC Champion 7th Ave Auto Parts. He was selected as an Arizona All-State player four times and MVP at the Ed Smith Invitational Tournament in Bakersfield, California. He played in every major tournament in Arizona multiple times as well as numerous out of state tournaments in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Wisconsin and California. He played against teams from New Zealand, Taiwan, Australia, South Africa and Canada.
