Paul Lopez

Eleven times an All-American pitcher, he authored 32 perfect games and 150 no-hitters in a 32 year career which began in 194` with him being honored in Detroit as youngest player (age 15) in history of the national softball tournament when he led Arizona and Regional champion O. S. Stapley Co to third place. He won the championship game with a two-hitter as Farm Fresh Markets won the national title in Phoenix in 1947, and later played with El Paso, Rochester and Tulsa teams, five times being chosen national tournament Most Valuable Player and six times earning Leading Pitcher awards. Blessed with a blazing fast ball, off-speed and breaking pitches and pinpoint control, he struck out 19 batters in one national tournament game. He ended his active playing career in 1972.
