Glenn "Skinny" Hogue

A virtual one-man gang, he played all positions well, excelled as one of Arizona softball’s best outfielders and achieved acclaim as a pitcher. The versatile athlete played major league softball for 13 years, 10 in Phoenix and three in the armed forces. He starred for the Funk Jewels, Fike Plumbing and Double Seven Corporation of P phoenix in three national tournaments and pitched his armed forces team to the service championship in 1944. Other Phoenix major league teams to enjoy his services were Milt Coggin’s Sporting Goods, Phoenix Auto Supply, Phalanx Fraternity and Delaware Punch.
