Rex played third base from 1963 to 1976 for Mitcham Construction, Hays Roofing, Sports Club of America and the Turquoise Kings. He was an outstanding hitter who played in seven ISC World Tournaments. He played on three Arizona State Championship Cactus Regional Championship teams.
