Considered the greatest third baseman in Arizona Softball history, this former baseball player switched to softball in the 1930s. A distinguished playing career with the legendary Funk Jewels saw him compete in a half dozen national tournaments where he gained All-American honors. A long-ball hitter, he finished a lifetime batting average of .275 while starring at third base for the Funk Jewels, A. J. Bayless Markets, Travis Cafe and Tom’s Tavern , all nationally ranked teams.
