Outstanding service as a player, manager, announcer and publicist over a span of 15 years has earned him widespread acclaim as one of the major contributors to softball success in Arizona. He performed with distinction as a player, earning All-State and All-Regional honors as an infielder with Arizona teams, competing twice in national tournaments. He managed several Arizona teams in major league competition and was the announcer-publicist at the Phoenix Softball Park, for many years site of the nation’s best softball. Serving as Master of Ceremonies for Arizona Softball Hall of Fame and Awards Banquets, he had been as responsible as anyone for the rapid growth of the Arizona Softball Foundation and the overall promotion of softball in Arizona.
