2023 Arizona Hall of Fame Inductees

Katie Swan-Milo - Player

An Arizona native, Katie attended Chaparral High School and then University of Arizona where they won NCAA National Championships in 1995 and runner up in 1998. She was named to NCAA Regional All Tournament team in 1999 and 2000 and Major Fastpitch ASA Champions in 2000. Her career batting average at University of Arizona was .318 and in 2000 she led Arizona in batting average during conference play hitting .364.

In High School she won State Championships in 1995 and 1996 and was named 1A-5A first Softball Player of the year in 1996, Softball Player of the Year in 1995 and 1996 and All State First Team in 1993-1996 and Scottsdale Player of the Year in 1994, 1995 and 1996.

Katie had many special people in her life who made her the great softball player she was. Her father, Bob Swan an Arizona Softball Hall of Fame member, was the best coach, father and best friend. Always pushing her to be great. Jay Bob Bickford, taught her everything she knows about the game of Softball and other coaches, teammates and family members that supported her along the way.

Dallas Escobedo - Player

Dallas started playing softball at age 8 and is still playing 24 years later. At St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, she was Arizona Player of the Year in 2007 with 501 strikeouts and again in 2010 with 500 strikeouts.

At ASU, in 2011 she was named First Team All-American, College World Series Co-Most Outstanding Player and All-Tournament Team; in 2012 Second Team NFCA All-West Region and First Team Pac-12 All Conference; in 2013, NFCA Second Team All American and First Team Pac-12 All Conference in 2014, First Team All-American Senior Class Award, NFCA All-Region First Team West Region and many other awards.

She was a member of the Mexico Olympic Softball Team in Tokyo and pitched the first game of the first Olympic Games for Mexico. She played professionally for the Pennsylvania Rebellion, Texas Charger and USSA Pride.

She was also the pitching coach at Cal State Fullerton for two years.

Dallas feels she has been so lucky to be surrounded by family and coaches that love her, support her and have stood behind her throughout her continuing Softball Career.

Rocky Parra - Contributor/Coach

Rocky is an Arizona native who attended Prescott High School and Colorado State College, Mesa Community College and Northern Arizona University. He has been a coach for 46 years at Hamilton, Mountain Pointe, Basha, Highland and Casteel High Schools as well as San Tan Middle School. He coached club ball with Lil Saints, Casyettes, Royals, Vipers. Storm and others and rec teams in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.

Rocky took Mountain Pointe High School to 5A State Championships, and Hamilton to 6A State Championships twice. He was named Big School Coach of the Year and took Hamilton and Basha High Schools to 6A State Runner Up four times. He has also played softball for 51 years including with B & D Supply, Shafer and Smith, and other teams in Metro, State and valley wide leagues.

He attributes his career to perseverance, support of family and coaches along the way and above all, God.
