An All-America catcher in 1937 and five times an All-Arizona selection, she served as team captain for the nationally famed PBSW Ramblers of Phoenix, for whom her leadership abilities helped become the first Arizona team to win a national championship. Her impressive credentials include leading the team in home runs each of the five years she played for the Ramblers and her batting average was a healthy .320.
