Barbara “Bobbi” (Maldonado) Forner played softball for 24 years from 1959 to 1983. Her outstanding play at shortstop led to her being named a nine time All-Star and voted to the All-State Team in 1965 and 1971. She played on eight state championship teams, five time league championship teams and six time Metro Championship teams. In 1975, she started and coached the varsity softball program at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Arizona for three years.
