An all-around athlete at Brophy Prep, this all-star shortstop had a brilliant softball career which covered three decades, including service with the legendary Funk Jewels of Phoenix, helping that nationally ranked team to win acclaim as the most colorful softball team of all-time. During his lengthily career, he played in five national tournaments as a member of Arizona regional championship teams and was accorded regional all-star honors on each occasion. In addition to playing for the Funk Jewels, he saw service with such standout teams as Travis Cafe, Safeway, O. S. Stapley and Morris Sporting Goods.
