Billy played first base from 1958 to 1978 on several of the top ranked teams of Arizona. He played in 9 national tournaments, as well as, several state and regional tournaments. He was a member of the 1970 ISC World Champion Schaefer-Smith team and a member of the 1974 ISC World Champion Page’s Raiders. Billy was voted to the ISC All-World Team in 1971 and ISC Most Valuable Player in the 1974 ISC World Championships. In addition to the many national honors, he was selected five times to the All-Arizona Team. Billy played first base for the nationally recognized Schaefer-Smith and Page’s Raiders Men’s fast pitch teams from 1958 to 1978. He played in nine national tournaments, as well as, numerous state and regional tournaments. He played on 8 Arizona State championship teams and was named to the All-State team five times. Billy was the leading hitter in the Arizona State Tournament in 1964 and 1965.
