Sponsor of the 1974 ISC World Champion Page’s Raiders, he made significant contributions to Arizona Softball as successful sponsor of men’s teams from 1957 to 1974, winning many city and state championships along the way. His 1974 championship team climaxed four appearances as the Arizona representative in four national tournaments in Tulsa; Kimberly, Wisc.; Rock Island, Ill.; and Sun City. Popular with his players, he was known as “Pappy Page,” and his behind-the-scenes counseling, advice and leadership has helped many of them through difficult periods in life.
