When asked how he felt about this prestigious honor he stated, "I am sincerely humbled by this honor. Knowing that it is my home state makes the honor even more special to me. To know whenever our teams, coaches, players, and staff members played in the state of Arizona we represented the state with dignity and honor. I am truly blessed to have had so many great players and staff members by my side that contributed to this honor. I accept this award in their behalf as well."
