John was the ASA Phoenix Metro Commissioner for 15 years and the ASA Regional Vice President for 4 years. He was the manager of the Phoenix Mercury Blues for over 20 years. John helped form the Copperstate Women’s Softball League and was a Board Member of the Arizona Softball Foundation. He served as co-chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee that was responsible for developing the Olympic team selection process. He definitely made a positive impact on the sport of softball in Arizona
