Volunteer Coach
Volunteered for 37 years, as a youth softball coach, team manager with several youth teams, organized several JO tournaments and ASA Deputy Junior Olympic Metro Commissioner. In 1978, began coaching in the Paradise Valley Girls Softball League and continued coaching with ASA teams until 1996. In 1996, volunteered as the ASA Deputy Junior Olympic Metro Commissioner. Organized and ran several ASA JO tournaments including: State Tournaments, Phoenix Metros, Cactus Regionals and National Championships. These tournaments influenced the lives of thousands of youth softball players. When asked, Joe replies, “It’s not never about me”. He is respected by coaches, players, umpires, and parents.
